What is Procurement’s contribution to Océ’s innovation, and how does it manage supplier relations in order to stimulate innovation? And, of course, what can you learn from this and apply in your own daily practice? Join us and find out!

Check out the programme outline under events. You can register for free.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Survey: Creative shopping! Innovation in the purchasing profession

After the Back2School event at the Maastricht University last September we have now received a request from three students who are working on their Master Thesis at the Maastricht University. The topic is ‘Innovation in the purchasing profession’. They have reached out to YPP in order to get as much participants for their survey as possible and off course we are willing connect them to our members.

Please see the below invitation to participate in the survey.

Dear purchasing professionals,

Hereby we would like to invite you to participate in our research concerning innovation in purchasing. This study is part of our Master Thesis project at Maastricht University. The purpose of this research is to explore how different work characteristics shape the daily innovative behaviour of purchasing professionals.

If you are interested to participate in our study, please sign up via the link below. You will then receive a short contact diary survey via email. In return for your participation, you will receive feedback based on your answers. Hopefully our insights will provide you with a better understanding of how your daily activities may affect the innovation in your work role.

YPP conference 2016

YPP 2016 conference theme and partner

Every year YPP organizes the YPP conference, which is at the top of the bill of all YPP events. Those who are familiar with the previous editions know what we are talking about. With relevant procurement themes, great speakers and excellent locations we are proud of every edition so far.

Currently we’re considering multiple themes and partners for this year’s edition but we are open for any suggestions our members might have. Do you have an idea for a much talked about theme in the field of procurement, or do you think your organization is interested in partnering up for this year’s conference? Let us know!

Drop us a note at ypp.youngprocurement@gmail.com in case you would like to know more details or talk about your ideas. Be sure to include your contact information so we can get back to you!

Looking back at the New Year’s event @ Benefit

“This year’s YPP New Year’s event was organised at Benefit. With a great turn-out of over 30 enthusiast young professionals the topic change management in procurement was on the agenda.

Procurement and change are linked together irrespectively of the organization you work for. Determining the impact and complexity of a change, top management support and ensuring that all stakeholders are on board are challenges everybody in the field of procurement faces. Looking at these challenges from a change management perspective resulted in an interesting evening.

After a brief introduction into several change management models and some practical insights a change management case was presented. In small groups the challenge of converting a fleet of fossil fuel lease cars into a fleet that exists of solely electric cars was tackled from a change management perspective. Sustainability was the driver behind the transition and this led to interesting discussions in the different groups. After a final wrap-up where insights and solutions were shared between the groups it was time to close the official part of the event and celebrate the start of the new YPP year with drinks.”
